When shaping foam dough, roll it with your palms instead of your fingers to achieve smoother, more even forms. One of the benefits of foam dough is that cracks and seams blend easily with minimal effort, allowing you to achieve smooth, polished end results.

Foam dough will fully dry in about 24 hours, depending on thickness and environmental conditions. As it dries, it forms a soft skin. Once completely dry, it stays super light and slightly squishy, giving it a fun, soft feel. Keep in mind that foam dough begins drying as soon as it’s removed from the packet. To keep it fresh, store it sealed and only take out small pieces at a time. If it starts to dry while you’re working, just add a few drops of water and knead it gently to restore softness.
