Frequently asked questions
How long does it take for Pott'd clay to dry?
Pott'd air-dry clay takes approximately 24 to 48 hours to dry completely, depending on the thickness of your piece and the room temperature. No kiln or oven baking is needed!
Is Pott’d clay food safe?
No, air-dry clay is not food safe or 100% waterproof, even after sealing. Pott'd kits are designed for decorative ceramic-style pieces like trinket dishes, plant pots, pen holders, candle holders, and baby imprints.
How much is a typical pottery painting session vs. at-home kits?
An in-person pottery painting session at a studio or art cafe typically starts around £9.50 per person, plus the cost of the raw ceramic item, studio fees, and drinks (like a piece of cake and a coffee). Parties often last around 1 hour 45 minutes, with children's parties requiring a minimum of 8 participants. A Pott'd kit gives you multiple sessions of creative fun for a single discounted price, with enough clay to make multiple items at your own pace.
